In this coachingsletter we inform you about the ‘wheel of life’. The wheel of life is part of Anthony Robbins’ Rapid Planning Method (RPM) and will help you to be the manager of your life, by focusing your attention, time and energy on specific areas of life. How would it be if you could choose for the things that are really important to you?

Today the world is changing fast: the information flow grows exponentially and this flow will continue to grow. The current economic conditions also make the necessary changes in the professional and / or financial area and the increasing demands do test the strength of our relationships and health. These changes require us to make choices every day. What information do we give attention? How much time do we spend on our relationships, family, our work and health?

Within these areas the same patterns do return continuously, which means that our focus is increasingly important in order to give direction to our lives. And to be able to determine your direction, it is necessary that you know where you want to go, what you want to achieve and what is important to you. So do you know what’s important to you in your life? Or in which area you would like to focus? This focus can make the difference between being overwhelmed or going with the flow.

What areas in our life are important and how do we keep the balance?

The speed of the current society requires us to look for new ideas to stay balanced; we need to develop, and we have to make decisions all the time in the various areas of our lives. For example, we can only be really successful in our work when there’s a balance between work and private life. For example, when you have a very successful job and at home it’s a mass, can you come home and really enjoy the successes of your work? What is the use of money without people around you that you love and that love you to share it with? What is the use of wealth without health?

Wheel of life: Through focused attention your wheel of life can be formed

By defining the things that are really important to you, you can make priorities and give attention to the areas of life that are important to you to grow. So you can form your wheel of life by focused attention, make it more ‘allround’ so you can better go forward and make choices, because you know what you need at this moment. And growth in one area can lead to growth in another area. So you create your own growth and development! Anthony Robbins supports all kinds of people with their personal growth and development and he offers with his “wheel of life” a tool to map efficiently the way your wheel of life is rolling.

Your wheel of life mapped

Without any doubt there are certain areas in your life that are fantastic and like most people there are probably also areas of life that need your attention. Maybe your relationship is great, but your financial situation is oppressive. Or maybe you pay much attention to your work and your bank account florishes, but your health and fitness isn’t too well? Do you want to know how your wheel of life is rolling?

Just pick up a piece of paper and draw a circle with 8 sections. Each section is corresponding to some of the typical areas of your life, for instance: Finances, Relationships, Work, Health, Personal Development, Emotions, Spirituality, Hobby’s, etc. Write these areas on the outside of the sections. Choose the areas that are important to you, it is your wheel of life! Then, taking one area at a time, grade yourself on a scale of 0 to 10. The middle of the circle corresponds to 0 and the outside ring of the circle corresponds to 10. Now you draw a line across the section that represents the number you currently rate yourself at in that section and fill in that part of the section with a colour.

What does your wheel of life look like? Would your go for a ride on the highway at 120 km/h with this wheel?

Now you’ve got insight in your wheel of life, you can see which area of your life needs attention to grow. At the right sidebar you’ll find a number of seminars with several items that correspond with the different areas of life.

In this coachingsletter we focus on prosperity, wealth and financial independance.

Many people say that they want to be rich. Others don’t care for money. Some people link good things to possessing money, others think of money as the root of all evil. There is hardly a subject that leads to such contradictional opinions.

Money itself is neither good nor bad. Money is merely a means to purchase products or services.

The thing that creates the positive associations and also the negative associations is the link to what someone does with money and how one behaves in the possession of (much) money or the lack of money.

Many people think of much other things that are more important than money. Think of health, relations, business, career and so on. And when you talk to someone, you’ll find out that the thing that drives a person, never is the money. Money is always just a means. A means to make choices. When you have good intentions you can do positive things with money. With little or no money your choice is limited. You can buy less, but what’s more important, you have less choice to how you will spend your time. When you have no money, you have to spend much of your time to work. Of course that’s ok, but the question is: are you doing what you want most?

Money plays an important role in our society. Also in relationships is money a major factor. The two main causes of relationship problems include poor communication and money problems. Both can be solved, if you really want to. Both are unfortunately hardly taught at school. How would it be if you could learn what it takes to become wealthy and you could deal with money problems forever?

Getting wealthy isn’t complicated. It’s our way of thinking that determines whether we really take these simple steps and hold on, structurally, each time again, to our plan.

  1. The most important thing is: We must change our mindset about money and the way we use it. We have to get a ‘millionaire mindset’.
  2. Being disciplined in using money by resisting the urge of impulsive spending.
  3. Stop spending a great deal of money on lottery, quick rich online schemes. This will just decrease your bank account faster than actually rewarding you.
  4. We need to cut up all our credit cards because majority of the time this will help us from impulsive spending.

  5. Put majority of your cash to work. Either pay off your debt, invested in a house, mutual funds, saving accounts, just don’t let it be idled.
  6. Investing in Wall Street is one of the strongest vehicles that can help you accumulate wealth in the future, especially now.

Really achieve your goals
Dear friend,

It’s almost New Year 2011! Did you already make some resolutions, like every New Year? What happened to your resolutions last year? Did they work?

I hope you took action in several areas and that it had a positive influence on your life!

Maybe you wanted also… quit smoking, lose weight, do more things in less time… and this year you’ll make that resolutions again. These are things that many people have: actions that you procrastinate.
In this coachingsletter we will explore the 7 root causes of procrastination and give you several practical tools to overcome it.
1. Lack of skill and/or attitude

If you lack sufficient skill to complete a task at a reasonable level of quality, you may procrastinate to avoid a failure experience. You then have the option to  educate yourself, in order to increase your skills or your attitude. When you make a really decision in your life, you don’t do it cognitive, but emotionally. Worldwide Anthony Robbins is the one that can let you make a real decision based on emotions during his seminars Unleash the Power Within and Date With Destiny.

2. Stress

When you feel stressed, worried, or anxious, it’s hard to work productively. One of the simplest ways to reduce stress is to take more time for play.

3. Overwhelm

When you have more items on your to-do list than you can reasonably complete, this can quickly lead to procrastination while you can least afford it. In this case the message is that you need to stop, reassess your true priorities, and simplify.

Options for reducing schedule overwhelm include elimination and delegation. First, review your to-dos and cut as much as you can, removing the most worthless ones first. Secondly, delegate tasks to others as much as possible. Ask for extra help if necessary.

4. Laziness

When you feel lazy, even simple tasks seem like too much work and you’ll procrastinate to conserve energy. The solution is: move your body. Exercise and diet help to raise your energy levels. The most energizing foods are raw fruits and vegetables. Make your diet abundant in these foods, and you’ll likely see a marked improvement in your energy levels.

5. Lack of discipline

Even when motivation is high, you may still encounter tasks you don’t want to do. When you feel motivated, you don’t need much discipline, but if your self-discipline is weak, however, procrastinating will be too tempting to resist.

6. Poor Time Management Habits

Poor time management habits often lead to procrastination, often unintentionally.

For tasks you’ve been putting off for a while, you can use the Rapid Planning Method of Anthony Robbins. You will learn to focus on the results you’re after and the real reasons you want to achieve them.

7. Perfectionism

A common form of erroneous thinking that leads to procrastination is perfectionism. You put the task off to the last possible minute until you finally have a way out of this trap. Now there isn’t enough time to do the job perfectly, so you’re off the hook because you can tell yourself that you could have been perfect if you only had more time.

The solution to perfectionism is to give yourself permission to be human. Realize that an imperfect job completed today is always superior to the perfect job delayed indefinitely.

Some of these cures are challenging to implement, but they’re effective. The upside is that tackling procrastination yields tremendous personal growth. You’ll become braver, more disciplined, more driven, and more focused. You grow stronger.

The Six Human Needs

Tony Robbins has identified six basic human needs and believes everyone is – or can be – motivated by their desire to fulfill these needs.

1. Certainty/Comfort. We all want comfort. And much of this comfort comes from certainty.

– Understand your ideal aerobic training heart rate: 180 minus your age. 

– Create a training plan: Once you have a base established, craft a regimen that will take your health to the next level.
